Gluten-Free Austrian Spice-Bread
Mantler Gluten-Free Bread Mix
- 500g Mantler Gluten-Free Bread Mix
- 500g water
- 25g cooking oil
- 15g salt
- 20g yeast or 10g dry yeast
- 5g bread spice
- 5g caraway seeds
Recipe for app. 2 x 500g loaves
During preparation, all the ingredients should be at room temperature.
Knead the ingredients into a dough for about 3 minutes in a stand mixer and leave briefly to rest.
Dough resting time 1: app. 10 minutes
Put the dough into greased bakeware and sprinkle with cumin. Using a spatula or a knife dipped in oil, make a long cut in the middle and leave to rest again.
Dough resting time 2: app. 40 minutes
After the resting, bake the loaves in the oven.
Baking time: app. 50 – 60 minutes in a preheated oven
Baking temperature: 230°C
For a larger bread volume, mix 1 egg into the dough.
