The Mantler-Mühle (Mantler Mill) in Rosenburg, Austria has been owned by the Mantler family for generations and was one of the first companies in Austria to offer bakers a wide range of flour blends for diverse bread and pastries.
More than 30 years ago, we realised that the number of people living with coeliac disease was on the rise, so we decided to develop a gluten-free flour mix.
After many attempts, we succeeded in producing an affordable universal gluten-free flour with excellent baking properties. Our flour is available in all major supermarkets in Austria!
For retailers and end consumers, we currently offer four different gluten-free quality blends in 1kg packs:
With our flour mixes recognised and recommended by numerous coeliac associations in Europe, we are already present on the international market and export our products to many European countries. We are always looking for new opportunities to expand and export our gluten-free mixes.
For those who use our flour to make their final products, such as bakeries or pastry shops, we have developed gluten-free base flour mixes for baking.
The gluten-free diet has been trendy for some time now! Gluten-free diets and conscious nutrition with gluten- or wheat-free products are finding more and more followers, presenting bakers and bakery production companies with new challenges. With our gluten-free flour mixes, bakers and all producers of bakery products can produce wonderful gluten-free pastries.
For these processing companies, we have developed three completely new gluten-free mixes:
Due to the rapidly increasing demand for our gluten-free flour, in 2008 we commissioned a new, modern production facility for gluten-free mixtures. This computer-controlled system is completely separate from the rest of our flour production – so there is no risk of cross-contamination and the quality of our gluten-free products is guaranteed.
Samples are taken from every batch we produce and analysed by AGES. Only once a negative result is available is the batch released by the quality assurance department.
New recipes for cakes, bread and pastries are constantly being developed and tested in our baking laboratory, which we publish on our website and in our baking recipe book. Through our cooperation with the Austrian Coeliac Association, many dietitians and discussions with those affected, we are constantly receiving feedback about our products. We support hospitals, dietitians and nutritionists with free samples and cookbooks for cookery classes.
We are the only producer of gluten-free cooking and baking mixes in Austria.
